Nadia is a recent graduate of the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and began her articling term at NLS in July 2021. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour from McMaster University. Prior to attending law school, Nadia worked in a Mental Health & Addiction Program at a major city hospital where she supported individuals as well as their families. Nadia is deeply passionate about social justice and advocacy, particularly on behalf of vulnerable and marginalized groups. While in law school, Nadia worked at legal clinics in Hamilton and Windsor, and she is excited to be at NLS working in the Immigration & Refugee practice area.
Nadia is an avid volunteer and has worked with organizations such as the Sexual Assault Centre Hamilton & Area (SACHA) and the Women’s Legal Education & Action Fund (via Pro Bono Students Canada), and she is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Hamilton Program for Schizophrenia. She is a self-trained powerlifter, a cooking/baking enthusiast, and enjoys travelling in the form of backpacking and hiking in mountainous countries.
