• Neighbourhood Legal Services is a community based and operated legal aid clinic, serving and working with the low-income community of eastern-downtown Toronto.
• We are dedicated to providing the low-income residents of our community with high quality legal advice, representation and services intended to promote their welfare.
• We believe that the low-income residents of our community have a right to access to justice through effective legal representation, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to direct their own destinies. 
• We work with the community to address the root causes of poverty and  systemic legal problems facing low-income people.
• We are committed to the promotion of the values contained in the Ontario Human Rights Code, and to non-discrimination on the basis of race, creed, colour, national origin, political or religious affiliation, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family relationship, receipt of social assistance and/or disability.
