Carol is a student at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law (at Ryerson University) and has just completed her first year … in a pandemic, on Zoom. (And before she started law school, she didn't know it was physically possible to drink as much coffee as she now does.)
Carol is committed to pursuing a legal career to advocate for vulnerable people in our society who face the greatest structural barriers to finding justice.  She comes to law as a second career, having spent some time in the public sector in Ontario and Yukon, working to bring transparency and accountability to government financial management.  She holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and Master of Public Administration from Queen's University, as well as a graduate diploma in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University. (And next up is her Juris Doctor in 2023.)
Carol is an avid traveller (all 7 continents) and when she can't hop on a plane somewhere, she spends her time writing and making music. She sings alto with Singing Out (Toronto’s largest LGBTQ+ choir) and is a past President of that organization. She also serves as VP of Finance with the Ryerson Law Student’s Society and works with non-profit organizations to help them better manage their finances.
