Scott Byers

Scott Byers articled at Neighbourhood Legal Services and, following his call to the Ontario bar in 2014, remained with the clinic as a staff lawyer.

Scott's interest in community lawyering began while a law student in Saskatoon, where he volunteered extensively with an inner city law clinic. He joined NLS after two years in the graduate program at Osgoode Hall Law School. Today, he works mainly in the areas of tenant protection and income security, and is also interested in employment and human rights law.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Union of Ontario, and the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History
