Board Membership Process

In order to stand for election to the Board of Directors, a candidate must first complete the NLS Membership Application Form to join as a member. Then they need to complete the Board Candidate Application Form and inform us at [email protected]. The candidate will then be interviewed by the Governance Committee of the Board. We welcome nominations from all members of our community, particularly if you are involved and/or interested in social justice, or possess experience in community organizing, financial management, or human resources.

We particularly encourage nominations from women, BIPOC persons, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ persons, youth, and/or other members of historically disadvantaged communities.
